You’re a furniture designer to retail?

Below are images of  retail sofa designs that truly fail to provide something pure fresh and new.

Above:  The Moulton originally designed for Marks and Spencer (Rob Scarlet Design)… lifted by NEXT Plc.  Or was it the other way around??

Either way the Rob Scarlet’s design is detailed and far superior from a technical point and from the likelihood that Rob applied some design integrity to this classic model.

Where is the design innovation in this classic theme?

Retail design relies on moving on … not actual product design in the true sense. Most retailers look to move on 80% of there competitor related and existing range of top selling product.  Pure design and it’s intricate critical path…
